In April, Beaverton police officers stopped a car near Southwest Millikan Way and Tualatin Valley Highway in Beaverton. A subsequent search turned up about 32 grams of meth, a digital scale, plastic bags and three cell phones in a backpack worn by David M. Guajardo, 35, a passenger in the car. Full story »

St. Mary's Academy students and staff celebrated the downtown Portland instituion's 150th birthday Friday by wrapping the high school building with a red ribbon and bow. Founded in 1859 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, St. Mary's Academy is Oregon's oldest continuously operated secondary school and one of 716 all-female schools in the country.
